- Master of Administration with an emphasis in health sciences is available as an online program.
- Over 30% of the students in the department are from underrepresented populations and international students, 12% of whom are Native Americans.
- The Diabetes Prevention Education Program and Healing Gardens project, funded by the John and Sophie Ottens Foundation, works with Native American communities to organize Native foods gardening programs to promote healthful diets and economic development.
- The Learning Circles project, funded by the Jobs to Careers Initiative through the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, provides work-based career development for American Indian front-line healthcare workers.
