DENTAL HYGIENE DEPARTMENT
- Currently has 155 undergraduate students
- The Department of Dental Hygiene provides comprehensive dental hygiene and preventive dental services in the on-campus Out-Patient Dental Hygiene Clinic to students and the public and currently serves approximately 1,500 patients annually.
- For 20 years, the Student Dental Hygiene Association plans the Spring Kiddie Clinic to help meet the dental needs of children in the Flagstaff community.
- 100% pass rate on the first attempt on the National Dental Hygiene Board Examination for more than 5 years consecutively.
- Also 100% pass rate on the Western Regional Board on the first attempt with scores ranging from 90-100%.
- Student clinical enrichment experiences include working with the elderly, special needs, homebound patients, an American Indian Tribal facility, and Indian Health Service Clinics.
